Frustraing install

I picked this up to give me the flexibility to pull a small trailer or attach a bike rack. The Integra is not meant for towing, but I only plan on towing a small trailer with the occasional sheet of drywall or pieces of lumber. I received the hitch very quickly and in good condition. The draw bar, pin, and clip were included. The cover was NOT included in my box.

The install looks simple on paper, but you don't have a lot of room to work with. There are nuts with attached 'stems' that you slip up in the frame rail. You also have to slide a steel washer in there. I'm not sure how you're supposed to maneuver that, so I taped it to the nut with electrical tape. You should remove the rubber muffler hangers to give you more room to work with. Having a helper is recommended, but I was able to do it myself in a little over an hour. The longest/frustrating part is lining up the nut with the bolt while holding the weight of the hitch. The way they have to be inserted, y ou have to bend the stem of the nut to get it in the frame rail, then play around with it until the bolt threads into it. Eventually though, I was able to get it all bolted in.

My last gripe was the bracket of the hitch rubs on the muffler. I wish Reese would've trimmed the hitch bracket about 3/4" to give the muffler more room.
